14.02.2013: Jyväskylä and Pori live

It's been long since the last newsflash here in our outdated site. We have been recording our 4th album step by step and we'll be returning for some more studio time in the very near future. In the meanwhile, we welcome you to see us live at Lutakko Jyväskylä (Sat 23th Feb) where we'll support the mighty Kuusumun Profeetta and at Saikku, Pori (3rd Mar) where we are going to play with The Home Of Easy Credit (USA/DK) on Validi sekmentti: Abstrax XXXII club.

24.09.2010: Annankatu 6 gala performance (Pori)

The legendary culture house Annis celebrates it's 30 years of existence on Sat 9th of October 2010. We've been invited to perform there. It's an open (and free) event for everyone after 10pm. Check the band's Facebook page for more accurate info

11.11.2009: Bar Kino & Vote for Words & Melodies

The Philosophers conquer Bar Kino (Pori) tomorrow Thu 12th of November. Unfortunately Itkevä Tyttö has cancelled it's performance due to sickness. We welcome Ensio Puolitaival to take the stage instead! Ensio Puolitaival will begin appr. 22.30 and Lowlife will start appr. 23.15. Welcome!

02.11.2009: Attention! Dawn Of A New Time tour continues in Pori!

The band will perform live at Bar Kino, Pori on Thursday 12th of November! This came true with a quite short notice, but we are pleased to have the opportunity to conquer the local stage after more than three years now! Itkevä Tyttö will perform during the evening also. Tickets are 7 euros. If you are a member of Rapajööti ry, your price is 5. Welcome!

06.10.2009: Kosmorama kinoclub

Black Audio will perform a music conduction for Buster Keaton's legendary silent movie General (1926) at 21.30. After that, Lowlife Rock'n'Roll Philosophers will perform a live set appr. 23.00. Head to Klubi (Turku) on Thu October 15 to witness all this! Tickets are 5€.

30.09.2009: Psychosis -video

The official version of a music video for the track 'Psychosis' will be available soon. The video is directed by Sami Rehmonen. A premier of the video will be shown on Friday 2nd of October 2009 at a local film festival "Localeffa Festari" being held at Villilä, Nakkila.

22.09.2009: Radio interview & live shows

Listen to Radio Helsinki on Thursday 24th 17.00. Noora and Mikko will be interviewed on Aleksi Pahkala's show called Mahtavaa Helsinki Mahtavaa (live stream cast available). Later in the evening, come to Kuudes Linja (Hki) and listen to the band live! For people chilling in Turku city the next day (Fri 25), don't forget to arrive to Levykauppa Äx (Record Store) for the special instore gig, starting at 17.00.

16.09.2009: Welcome To The Dawn Of A New Time

05.08.2009: Release date & instore gig

Welcome To The Dawn Of A New Time will be released 16th of September 2009. To celebrate the reveal of the date you can now listen to the song "Words And Melodies" from the music player, at Myspace or at Facebook!

On September 25th the band will be performing a special instore gig at Levykauppa X record store, Turku (at 17:00). Be there or... funny.

18.06.2009: A record deal

The Philosophers have established a record deal with Olo Levyt / Solmu Records. The forthcoming third album Welcome To The Dawn Of A New Time will be released in the fall of 2009. More info, visual outlook and a new website will follow soon.

The band will perform live 10th of July 2009 at Club Liberté, Helsinki. Welcome!

Millai Muute

Lowlife Rock'n'Roll Philosophers will be one of the performers at the magical Millai Muute event, being held at Pori Theatre now for the 2nd time. Millai Muute 2009 introduces local music and culture outside mainstream values and with a unique approach. The evening is a combination of music and performing arts in a ceremonial atmosphere.

The other performers of the evening are Serpentes Vipera, Janne Laurila, Nikolai Blad, Antti Tuomento and Magyar Posse.

09.03.2009: Live dates update

Lowlife Rock'n'Roll Philosophers will play in Korjaamo, Helsinki, in the 10th of April. This is a special night, as the other performer is none other than Kuusumun Profeetta, great friends from our hometown Pori. This is the debut concert of the new drummer Daniel Finley, and the first Philosophers' performance in Helsinki in almost three years. Be there and watch out for a few surprises...

The Philosophers is also one of the performers in Millai muute event in Pori Theatre, 29th of August. More concert dates will be revealed soon.
